Biography
The representative of the Polish magnate family Potocki coat of arms " Pilyava ". The eldest son of the Galician subcommittee and the governor of Smolensk, Alexander Jan Potocki (d. 1714 ), from his second marriage to Teresa Tarlo . The grandson of the Polish writer Pavel Potocki and the brother of Anthony Mikhail Potocki .
In 1760, he received the post of Lviv kashtelyan and became a holder of the Order of the White Eagle .
He was twice married. In 1730, he married Constance Morshtyn with his first marriage, from whom he had a single daughter:
- Marianna Pototskaya, wife of the head of the Wavolnitsky Stanislav Malakhovsky
In 1736, he remarried to Pelageya Potocka (d. After 1794 ), daughter of the headman of the Gribovo and Tlumak Jerzy Potocki (d. 1747 ) from his second marriage with Constance Podberezskaya (d. 1730 ). Children:
- Ignacy Potocki ( 1738 - 1794 ), the headman of Kanev and Glinyansky, then the canon of Krakow
- Jozef Makarii Potocki (d. 1821 ), the headman of Galician and Chorshtyn
