Biography

Clemens Brummer was born in Berlin on April 19, 1986. In 1992 he became a member of the figure skating club SC Charlottenburg. At first, he was the ward of coach Gabriella Sonntag, and later came under the direction of Viola Strigler. His choreographer is Hendrik Schamberger. Brummer had the greatest practice in Berlin, 21 hours a week, the least - 18 hours a week, ibid. Clemens Brummer enjoys billiards , snowboarding , flying saucer throwing ( frisbee ). Currently, Clemens Brummer is studying at the Faculty of Mechatronics .

Career

Career start

Clemens Brummer’s adult career began in 2001. The first major competition for him was the national championship in 2002 in his hometown, where he took 13th place, in the short program he stopped only on the 15th line, but in an arbitrary showing the 11th result. [1] . At that time he was only fifteen years old.

In early September 2002 in the city of Oberstdorf, he took part in the Nebelhorn Trophy , where he became the fourteenth, [2] . as well as at the junior Grand Prix stage “Pokal den Blauen Schwerter”, where, according to the results of short and random programs, took the 13th line.

On December 20 and 21, 2002, the Swiss National Championship took place in Zug . In this tournament, Brummer also took part, but, however, at the junior level. There he became the fourth, followed by the French-born skater Johan Desiot , relatively famous Maurice Pfeifhofer , as well as Marco Walker . Brummer then performed at the adult level at his 2003 national championship , which was held in early January in Oberstdorf . Clemens showed no high results again, he was only 8th.

In there were significantly more events. The season did not start in the best way - Brummer had to withdraw from the Nebelhorn Trophy , held on September 3-7, 2003. Later, Brummer participated in the junior Grand Prix “Czech Skate” stage in Ostrava [3] ., Where he became only 20th. And in the middle of October [4] . He stopped at the last, 19th line at the Karl Schaefer Memorial .

In late October - early November of the same year, he became the 17th in the junior Grand Prix stages in Gdansk . After the short, he was on the 15th line, but he showed the 18th result in an arbitrary [5] , and that led to this result.

2-4 January 2003 Clemens spoke at the German Championship . He failed the short program, stopping at the last, 13th line. But in the free program he became the 8th, which allowed him to rise to the 10th place with a total score of 14.5. [6] [7] .

In late February, [8] Clemens participated in the Heiko-Fischer-Pokal (Heiko Fisher Cup) tournament. There he became the sixth, after the already mentioned Maurice Pfeifhofer .

2004-2007: New System, New Goals

From the beginning of Brummer has already started competing in the ISU system . The first result of the new performance evaluation system was the amount of 129.39 points, which he gained at the junior Grand Prix stages in Courchevel , France , which allowed the athlete to stay on the 8th line. Also during the junior grand prix of the same year, Brummer participated in the stages in Belgrade , where he became the 9th. At the national championship for the first time he rose close to the podium, becoming the fourth. The result for the short was 58.69 points [9] [10] , while for an arbitrary - 108.75 [11] [12] [13] . Accordingly, the amount was 167.44 [14] .

Personal records

Klemens Brummer set most of the personal records for the New Judiciary System at the 2008 European Championship . There, in particular, he scored the highest total amount of points in his career - 163.81. He also received the highest technical rating there in the short program (it was 28.69), the highest points for the technique and the overall impression in the free program (59.31 and 53.24) and, accordingly, the highest points for the performance in the free program. And at the 2009 European Championships, Brummer won the best points for a short program - 53.47 and the highest mark for the components in the short, which was 27.65. [15] .
