Aphis (lat.) - The largest aphid genus from the subfamily Aphidinae . Over 500 species. They are found everywhere, but mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. Among them, crop pests such as melon aphid or cotton aphid ( Aphis gossypii ), gooseberry aphid ( Aphis grossulariae ), beet aphid ( Aphis fabae ), apple aphid ( Aphis pomi ) [1] .
