The Cathedral of Christ the Savior ( Norwegian Vår Frelsers ortodokse kirke ) is an Orthodox church of the Norwegian deanery of the Russian Orthodox Church , located on the territory of the historical and memorial cemetery in the center of Oslo and consecrated in honor of the Resurrection of the Slova and St. Princess Olga .

History
The temple was built in 1864 on the territory of the historical and memorial cemetery in the center of Oslo and was used by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Norway as a cemetery until the necropolis was closed in 1952.
The altar fresco "The Risen Christ" was made by the famous Norwegian artist .
In 2003, the church was transferred to the Voskresensko-Olga parish of the Russian Orthodox Church and consecrated on June 13, 2004 by the Chair of the Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Kirill Smolensky and Kaliningrad (Gundyaev) in the presence of the Lutheran Bishop of Oslo , Russian Ambassador to Norway Alexander Panov , German Ambassador and other officials [1] [2] . The abbot of the church since 2003 is hegumen Clement (Khukhtamyaki) .
In the period 2008-2010, Georgian icon painter Gurgen Chuhua created icons for the iconostasis of the left side of the temple. [3]
