Para-party organizations

Para-party organizations ( other Greek: παρα- near, about) are organizations specially created by supporters of political parties . Their goal is to expand the influence of their party on certain groups of the population.

Types of Para-Party Organizations

Youth

They are created by parties to increase their influence on people aged 18 to 30 years, to educate them in leadership qualities, to prepare a reserve of cadre of party leaders, to expand the ranks of party members and party activists [1] .

Sports

Para-party sports organizations exist in the form of various sections, schools, unions and clubs. They are created to expand the party’s influence in public circles, fond of sports , and to popularize its political program.

Professional

Professional para-party organizations include professional and creative unions organized by parties or led by members of certain parties that have a party influence on them. Often there is the opposite situation, when the trade unions themselves create parties and have a certain impact on them.

Women's para-party organizations are created by political parties in order to organize the women's movement on a party basis.

Discussion and Political Clubs

Political and discussion clubs are created with the money of parties, and often in their premises. They are relevant during acute socio-political crises, coups, revolutions and other events that cause great public resonance.

Veteran

The goal of veteran para-party organizations is to provide all kinds of support to veterans, with their subsequent mobilization at the elective stage [2] .

The structure of para-party organizations

Usually the structure of a para-party organization copies the structure of the party that creates it. To a greater extent this applies to youth organizations. The more or less structural closeness of the party that created it is characteristic of women's associations. Sports and professional organizations have a structure corresponding to the tasks they solve. Political and discussion clubs usually have a free structure [3] .

Functions of para-party organizations

  • accelerating the political socialization of voters ;
  • propaganda of ideas, ideology, party program;
  • assisting parties in the conduct of the election campaign ;
  • articulation and aggregation of interests of a particular social group;
  • adjustment of the party course based on the feedback mechanism;
  • the formation of public opinion in a separate social group;
  • maintaining relations between the party bureaucracy and ordinary members [2] .
