Mental apparatus - in the metapsychology of Z. Freud : a representation that contributes to the understanding of human mental activity. Hypothetical division of the psyche into a variety of systems or groups of functions. According to the structural model, functions are grouped into the structures of Eid , Ego and Super-Ego .
The idea of the psychic apparatus was put forward by Z. Freud at an early stage in the emergence of psychoanalysis and was repeatedly discussed by him as the development of psychoanalytic theory and practice.
