Duncan Anderson McNaughton is a Canadian athlete who specialized in high jump. Olympic champion in 1932 with a score of 1.97 m. In 1930, took 4th place at the Commonwealth Games.

Born in the family of a civil engineer and teacher, was the only child in the family. He entered the University of Southern California as a medical professional, but in the second year he changed to a geologist in oil and gas. He received a master’s degree from UCLA in 1935. He worked in the geological service of Canada, in particular, he studied deposits in South America. During World War II, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
