Asian Library ( Polish. Biblioteka Azjatycka ) is a specialized scientific library operating at the Museum of Africa and the Pacific . It is located in Warsaw on Solec Street 24. It contains about 14 thousand storage units, mainly scientific publications about the countries of Asia, Australia and Oceania in various languages of the world.

History
The beginning of the library was the book collection of Polish diplomat and philanthropist Andrzej Wawrzyinyak , who in 1973 donated his collection of ethnographic materials and the library to the state to organize the Museum of Asia and the Pacific.
Description
The oldest books in the library are 19th century editions. It stores rare editions donated by libraries to private individuals from many countries of the world.
The library collects scientific publications and publications published in the largest scientific institutions in the world (universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Honolulu) and participates in the largest auctions of Sotheby's and Christie's .
The library owns about 300 language and other dictionaries, among which there are rare editions of “Kodansha Encyclopedia of Japan” (9 volumes) and “The Dictionary of Art” (34 volumes).
The library has sets of scientific journals Arts of Asia , Orientations , Saudi Aramco World , Canberra Anthropology , Senri Ethnological Studies , Acta Orientalia Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae , Pacific Affaires and Polish scientific publications Rocznik Orientalistyczny ” , the yearbook of Azja-Pacyfik and Przegląd Orientalistyczny .
Activities
The library collaborates with Polish museums, which have Asian exhibits in their collections, and carries out interlibrary exchange with libraries, oriental and ethnographic museums around the world.
Library funds are provided free of charge for all comers.
