Dehakan ( Persian دهاقان ) is a city in central Iran , in the province of Isfahan . The administrative center of the same name shakhrestan .

Geography
The city is located in the southern part of Isfahan, in the highlands of central Zagros , at an altitude of 2038 meters above sea level [1] . Dehakan is located approximately 70 kilometers south of Isfahan , the provincial capital, and 408 kilometers south of Tehran , the country's capital.
Population
According to the census, in 2006 the population of the city was 16,899 people [2] .
Transport
The nearest airport is located in the city of Zerinhekhr , 27 km north of Dehakan [1] .
