Jean-Pierre Prutho ( Fr. Jean-Pierre Prouteau ; October 28, 1930, Paris - September 5, 1998, Cogolin , Var [1] ) is a French politician. He occupied the position of the great master of the Great East of France from 1973 to 1975.

Biography
He began his service in the navy as a sailor, after several promotions he was able to take up an officer position [3] .
He was the Great Master of the Great East of France (1973-1975). He consecutively held the posts of vice-president and co-chairman of the Radical Party (1979–1981) [4] , which he left in 1981. He was a staunch supporter of the reunification of the Radical Party [5] . November 6, 1978 he created the Democratic and Republican clubs [5] [6] .
His career continued in various organizations, he consistently served as CEO at CFRO, Sincro, a subsidiary of Credit Agricole , and at Credit Agricole itself, CNMCCA, Thomson CSF [7] , then OPTORG [8] . He created in 1976 the National Center for Vocational and Technical Cooperation for the Interaction of the Middle Class.
From April 5, 1978 to May 13, 1981, he served as Secretary of State for Industry Minister responsible for small and medium-sized businesses in the government of Raymond Barr [9] [10] . During the three years of his service as state secretary, he created the National Agency for the Creation of Enterprises (NASP) [11] .
Other Activities
He was the CEO of CNMCCA from 1977 to 1978.
In 1989, he was also President of the French Investor Council in Africa (CIAN) [12] [13] and Deputy Mayor of Cogolin (Department of the Var).
