Biography

Louis Vito was born March 20, 1988 , in the city of Columbus Ohio . He studied snowboarding at the Stratton Mountain School in Vermont, and in 2005 he began to professionally engage in snowboarding . After graduating from high school in Utah, he continued his career as a snowboarder . The first success of Vito was a silver medal in halfpipe at the 2005 World Junior Championships . From the age of seventeen Vito began to achieve success in professional snowboarding. At the Australian Open, he won two of his very first victories. In the 2008 season, Louis Vito was recognized as the champion of the Chevy US Snowboarding Grand Prix series. He then won the King of the Mountain Superpipe Championships in California . At the Vans Cup championship, Louis Vito took 2nd second place, losing to his main rival Danny Cass. In the same year, he won the Killington Grand Prix. Then he won a number of brilliant victories in several championships in extreme sports. Vito soon won the American Grand Prix series, winning a second major title. He participated in television programs several times. I tried myself several times as a commentator on competitions among juniors. Vito participated in the ninth season of the television program Dancing with the Stars ( Dancing with the Stars), but six weeks later he dropped out of the program. In parallel with the filming in this program, Vito was intensively preparing for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver , where he subsequently took fifth place . The following year, 2011, Louis won the bronze medal in the superpipe at the World Extreme Games . A year later, he won a bronze medal at the 2012 World Championship (WSF) in halfpipe, losing to the Swiss Yuri Podladchikov and compatriot Matt Ledley in the final.
