Biography
He graduated from MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (1973) and the Higher Diplomatic Courses at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (1999). At diplomatic work since 1973.
- In 1994 - 2000 - senior adviser, chief adviser, head of department of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
- In 2000 - 2004 - Counselor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Malaysia .
- In 2004 - 2008 - Deputy Director of the Department of ASEAN Countries and Common Asian Problems of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
- From January 2008 to July 2009 - Deputy Director of the Department of General Asian Problems of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- From July 31, 2009 [1] to January 30, 2015 [2] - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Brunei .
