Biography

The representative of the older princely line (the progenitor of the Retov branch, sometimes called his name [1] ) of the Lithuanian magnate family of the Oginsky coat of arms " Brama ", the second son of the governor of Mstislavsky Shimon Karol Oginsky (c. 1625 - 1694 ) and Theodora Korsak . A cousin of Prince Casimir Dominic Oginsky . The brothers are the head of Dorsun Boguslav (c. 1669 - 1730 ) and the head of the Usviatsky Alexander (c. 1674 - 1709 ).

In 1695 he received the position of swordsman of the great Lithuanian. In 1718, Martián Mikhail Oginsky received Borisov’s eldership from the widow of Constance (from the Podberezsky family), who twice transferred Ignacy Oginsky to his eldest son, who was originally transferred in 1744 .

In 1703, Martian Mikhail Oginsky was appointed castellan Vitebsk , and in 1730 he received the post of governor of Vitebsk .

Member of the opposition in the 1720-1730s. Marshals of the Lithuanian Tribunal in 1712 , 1718 and 1723 . He was also a marshal of the General Confederation of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and relied on connections with the Russian court.

In 1733, the governor of Vitebsk Prince Martian Mikhail Oginsky supported the election of Stanislav Leschinsky to the royal throne of the Rzeczpospolita . In 1736 he was awarded the Order of the White Eagle .

Family

He was married four times. In 1701 he married his first marriage to Teresa Brzhostovskaya (died 1721 ), in 1723 he married Teresa Tizengauzen (died 1730 ) for the second time, in 1733 for the third time - to Kristina Abramovich (died 1738 ), in 1745 in the fourth just married Tekla Anna Larskaya (d. 1759 ).
