Shannon Vreeland ( born Shannon Vreeland ; born November 15, 1991 , St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American swimmer, 2012 Olympic champion in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay, and multiple relay world champion. It specializes in freestyle swimming at distances of 100 and 200 meters.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she performed only in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay race , and participated in the preliminary race and in the final, in which the Americans won with a new Olympic record (7.42.92).
Trained at the University of Georgia [1] .
In 2015, she won four gold and one bronze medal at the summer Universiade in Gwangju.
