Aram Apetovich Asatryan ( Armenian Արամ Ասատրյան ; March 3, 1953 , Etchmiadzin - November 7, 2006 , Vagharshapat ) is an Armenian singer, songwriter. One of the best founders and performers of the modern direction of the Armenian city song is rabiza . Star of Armenian (and not only) pop.

Biography

Born in a family of Armenian refugees Apeta Asatryan and Ashkhen Mampreyan. From childhood he studied music, but became famous in 1984 -85 by the song “Near a Clean Spring”. In 1985 , together with Levon Abrahamyan, Khachatur Sahakyan, Suren Gasparyan and Simon Sisoyan, he created his own group. He performed for Armenian volunteers, raising the morale of the defenders of Karabakh with patriotic and love songs. His melodious voice and beautiful melodies gained great popularity among Armenians, making the name of Aram Asatryan significant for the folk music of Armenia of the 1990s.

He has performed in Asia, Europe, Russia , Arab countries, the USA and in many cities of Armenia and Karabakh . The author of more than 500 songs, including the popular “Bales” in Russia, later released the song “About Love, Love.” Performed by Pierre Narcissus under this motive. He owned the company Star Records.

In 2003 , the Ministry of Culture of Armenia was awarded the title of “Gusan”.
