History
According to the Lists of populated areas of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 2nd camp of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province . There were 21 yards in it , 137 men and 152 women lived [2] .
According to the 1897 census , 397 people lived in the village (151 men and 246 women) [3] .
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village belonged to the Gagarin volost of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 84 peasant households and 463 inhabitants in the village. In the village there was a school, 5 forges, a dyeing and tar factory. The main occupations of the villagers were work on the railway and forestry [3] .
