Cedar Cove is an American television series based on the eponymous series of books by Debbie Macomber. The plot focuses on the personal and professional life of Judge Olivia Lockhart, played by Andy MacDowell [1] . This is the first original series in the history of the Hallmark Channel [2] .

The premiere of the series, filmed in British Columbia , took place on July 20, 2013 [3] . In addition to the first season of twelve episodes, the channel also ordered the shooting of the television movie Cedar Bay: Christmas, which will be released after the season finale [4] . On September 30, 2013, Hallmark extended the series for a second season for broadcast in 2014 [5] . After showing the third season, the series was closed [6] .
