Biography
Auxentius Moshensky was born on February 27, 1900 in the town of Shpola (now - a city in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine ). In 1914, he graduated from a four- year mountain school, after which he worked first for hire, then as a laborer, and later in his father's farm. In September 1920, Moshensky volunteered to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In June 1926 he joined the bodies of the OGPU of the USSR. He started as a clerk of the internal affairs bodies in Ukraine [1] .
Member of the Great Patriotic War since July 1941 as deputy head of the special department of the NKVD of the 44th Rifle Corps . He participated in the battles in the Byelorussian SSR and the Smolensk battle . Engaged in the suppression of panic in the acting parts. In September 1941, Moshensky was recalled from the front and appointed deputy head of the transport department of the NKVD of the Western Railway . On July 9, 1945, Moshensky, among the 143 other senior officers of the NKVD of the USSR, received the rank of Major General according to the very first order of re-certification. In October 1947, Moshensky was appointed head of the security department of the USSR Ministry of State Security of the Western Railway [1] .
In September 1950, as "not providing leadership and for unworthy behavior in everyday life," Moshensky was relieved of his post and retired. He lived in Smolensk . He died on March 31, 1981, was buried at the Bratskoye cemetery in Smolensk [1] .
Honored Worker of the NKVD of the USSR . He was also awarded the Order of Lenin , two orders of the Red Banner , orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and the Red Star , a number of medals [1] .
