Georgios Lampiris (1833 - July 13, 1889) - Greek composer, musician and conductor.

Born in Argostoli , began to study music and show success in it at an early age. Initially, he studied music with his father, who played the flute well, then spent two years in Corfu, where he also studied music, and later interned at the Conservatory in Naples. Returning to his hometown, he conducted the local orchestra for several years and taught piano and music theory.
In 1867 he moved from Kefalonia to Athens, where he lived until the end of his life. In 1875, he was offered the post of director of the Athens Conservatory, which he refused. He was a professor of music at Arsakeio. His wife was Angela, daughter of the famous satirist poet Andreas Laskarotos . Died of heart disease.
He was awarded the Silver Order of the Savior .
