Akali gave

Shiromani Akali Dal is an Indian political party of Sikh confessionalists.

It was founded on December 14, 1920 during the so-called “Akali movement”. It is the largest and most influential Sikh party in the world. The basis of her philosophy is the inseparability of religion and politics, the goal is to rally all the Sikhs of the world and to defend their interests, declaring that in her activity she uses only legitimate methods of resolving issues. Controlled by the Gourdwar Management Committee.

In the era of the struggle for independence from the UK, she collaborated with the Indian National Congress. Since 1973, it has become an opposition to Congress and has concentrated its activities mainly in Punjab , striving to occupy a leading position in this state and its subsequent division into two according to linguistic grounds (Punjabi and Hindi-speaking). As of 2013, the party has 56 out of 117 seats in the Punjab legislature, its former (Parkash Singh Badal) and current (Sukhbir Singh Badal, his son) leaders occupy the posts of Prime Minister Punjab and his deputy respectively.
