The Konecgorsk narrow-gauge railway is a timber - carrying narrow-gauge railway in the Vinogradovsky district of the Arkhangelsk region , on the right bank of the Severnaya Dvina River [1] .

It starts in the village of Rochegda . The maximum length is 84 km, currently operating 65 km. Track gauge 750 mm .
Year of opening: 1942 . Passenger traffic, freight traffic. Harvesting of timber is carried out by the Konetsgorsky timber industry enterprise both by assortment and by whip technology; forest removal is carried out year-round according to the longest narrow gauge railway in the Arkhangelsk region . History
The construction of the narrow gauge railway began in July 1938 by the forces of the Gulag prisoners.
The construction of the village of Rochegda began on October 2, 1942 . In 1942, Berezlag prisoners were taken from Rochegda to other NKVD camps. The last ship with prisoners left Rochegda on October 22, 1942 [3] . In 1944, the construction of the village of Rochegda was completed and the Konetsgorsk LPH was founded. From 1946, the mechanization of the timber industry enterprise began, and from 1959 to 1962, the full mechanization of the Konetsgorsk timber industry enterprise was carried out [4] . In 1973, welding of rails in long lashes began and their replacement from R-18 to R-24, heavy diesel locomotives TU-7 appeared. In 1980, a sleepers impregnation workshop was opened in Rochegd [3] .
As of 2005, the Konezhgorsk narrow gauge railway was one of the best in the region, the length of the highway is about 60 kilometers. The regular movement of the passenger train along the Rochegda – Pystroma route is maintained , the movement along the Rochegda – Nyavody route is carried out only in winter, when the narrow gauge railway becomes unsuitable for traveling private pioneer motor-tires [5] .
Current status
As of 2012, the Konezhgorsk narrow gauge railway was operating. [6]
Does not work since July 2018, disassembly began in the fall [7] .
