Player Career
Played as a heavy forward and light forward . He studied at the University of Santa Clara , twice recognized as the basketball player of the year among students at the West Coast Conference (1953, 1955). In 1955, he was selected by the NBA draft under number 4 by the New York Knights team. He later played for the San Francisco Saints ( ABL ) and San Francisco Warriors teams. In total, the NBA spent 8 seasons. Twice participated in the match of all the NBA stars ( 1958 , 1959 ). In total, during his career in the NBA he played 529 games, in which he scored 7355 points (an average of 13.9 per game), made 4142 selections (7.8 per game) and 843 assists . Twice (in the seasons of 1958/1959 and 1959/1960 ) was the best in the league in terms of percentage of hits from the game [3] .
