Biography
From a family of immigrants. He studied in Lawrence Markish (now Maputo ) and Johannesburg . Actively published in the newspapers Voice of Mozambique and the Tribune , was the editor-in-chief of the latter ( 1974 - 1975 ). He published a journal of poetry Caliban ( 1971 - 1972 ), which published TS S. Eliot , Marianne Moore , Jorge de Cena , Erberto Elder , Antonio Ramos Rosa , Jose Craveirinha and others. He led the literary and artistic supplement to the journal Vremya . He translated poems by Blake , Cavafy , Eliot, Pound , Yates , Dylan Thomas , Sylvia Plath , Robert Lowell , Apollinaire , Reverdy , Rene Ball , Octavio Paz . In 1975-1997 - at the diplomatic service in London (press adviser at the Portuguese Embassy).
