Drakensbergena deorsuspina (lat.) - a species of jumping insects of the tribe Drakensbergenini from the subfamily of cicadas Deltocephalinae ( Cicadellidae ). South Africa : KwaZulu-Natal; at heights of up to 1900 m. Length 5-6 mm. The antennae are short (their length is 1 mm). Winged. Head wider than pronotum (head 1.3-1.5 mm, pronotum 1.1-1.2 mm). Macroset formula of the hips is 2 + 1 or 2 + 1 + 1. The lateral margin of the pronotum is keeled. Ocellia reduced. Found in grassy high-altitude biomes of southern Africa. The species was first described in 2009 by South African entomologist Michael Stiller ( Michael Stiller , ARC-Plant Protection Research Institute, Queenswood, Pretoria ) [1] [2] .
