Biography
He studied at the Prague Conservatory in the composition class of Joseph Suk .
From 1946 to 1967 he taught composition at the Prague Academy of Musical Arts . He brought up many famous musicians and composers, among them - Peter Eben , Jan Klusak , Jiri Power , Vladimir Sommer , Rudolf Comorous and others.

Pavel Borkovets is the author of a number of musical works, including two operas , a ballet , two concerts for piano and orchestra, Concerto Grosso , five string quartets .
