Biography

Since 2002, he played for the junior team of Prague “ Sparta ”. In the summer of 2005 he moved overseas to the Western Hockey League, where he played for Vancouver Giants for 3 years. In 2008, Michal signed a contract with the NHL Florida Panthers . In the NHL, Rzhepik held 72 matches, in which he scored 20 (9 + 11) points. Mostly he played in the AHL for the Florida farm clubs from Rochester and San Antonio . He played 245 matches in the AHL , in which he chalked up 179 (66 + 113) points. In 2012, he returned to Europe, moving to the Prague “ Lion ”, who then spoke in the KHL . For the first season in the KHL scored 13 (5 + 8) points in 52 matches, helped the team get into the playoffs. The second season, 2013/2014 turned out to be very successful. Rzhepik scored 22 (12 + 10) points in 73 games, and the club reached the final of the Gagarin Cup , losing in the final series 3: 4 to Magnitogorsk Metallurg . Rzhepik spent the next season in Finland and Switzerland, playing for Lahti and Zug, respectively. In the summer of 2015, he returned to the Czech Republic, finally making his debut in Extralig , in the very first season at home becoming the country's champion in the club Bili Tigrzhi from Liberec . The season 2016/2017 Rzhepik again began in the KHL , in the team " Tractor " (Chelyabinsk). Already in the second game he was seriously injured and the contract by mutual agreement was terminated. Having managed to recover from injury, Rzhepik spent the ending of the season in Sparta . After the end of the season, he moved to the Slovan Bratislava, for which he played until the end of December 2018. Having scored 21 points (10 goals and 11 assists) in 42 matches, Rzhepik left Slovan on December 26 and moved to another KHL club Vityaz .

From 2003 to 2007 he played for the junior teams of the Czech Republic. in 2015 he made his debut as part of the main Czech team . Participant in the 2018 Olympic Games and the World Championships 2016, 2017, 2018. In total, he played 57 games for the national team, scored 31 (19 + 12) points, including 6 games at the Olympics, 5 (3 + 2) points and 24 games at World Championships , 13 (9 + 4) points.
