Vitaly Vitalyevich Tsymanovsky ( March 27, 1968 , Zaporozhye - April 18, 1995 , Bamut , Chechnya ) - commander of the 7th special forces detachment "Rosich" of the 100th operational division of the North Caucasian District of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, captain ; Hero of Russia (2003).

Biography
Since 1991 [1] , after graduating from the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs , he served as platoon commander in the special group "Scorpion" 47 PON of the 100th operational division of the North Caucasian District of the Internal Troops, and since 1992, commander of the 3rd group of the special detachment appointments "Rosich" of the 100th operational division of the North Caucasian District of the Internal Troops.
He participated in operations to eliminate ethnic conflicts ( Nagorno-Karabakh , North Ossetia , Ingushetia ).
Since November 1994, he participated in the battles of the first Chechen war : the capture of the village of Assinovskaya , the storming of Grozny .
In April 1995, he participated in the battles for the village of Bamut ( Achkhoy-Martan district of Chechnya). On April 18, 1995, he led one of the three groups of the Rosich detachment, which carried out the task of eliminating the militant stronghold on Lysaya Gora. The group of V. Tsymanovsky broke through the encirclement, in which there were two groups of the detachment, whose commanders died. Having assumed command, V. Tsymanovsky organized a circular defense ; sixty-four fighters fought with 400 fighters. He took out a seriously wounded soldier from under the fire and rendered him first aid. Despite receiving a gunshot wound to his chest, he remained in the ranks, destroyed a machine gun crew and four fighters. Then he led the attack, after breaking through the encirclement, he remained to cover the withdrawal of his subordinates and died in this battle.
V. Tsymanovsky’s submission to the title of Hero of Russia in 1995 was rejected on the grounds that a few days before his feat he was awarded the Order.
For courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation of September 15, 2003, Captain Tsymanovsky Vitaly Vitalievich was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumous).

- In 2005, a memorial plaque in honor of V. Tsymanovsky was installed in the city of Zaporozhye.
- V. Tsymanovsky has been forever enlisted in the lists of personnel of military unit 3719 of the North-Western Military District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia [1] .
