Biography
He worked as a secretary of the school of agricultural mechanization (village Elan of the Saltykovsky district), as a laborer [1] . In 1960 he graduated from the Voronezh Veterinary Institute . In the same year he joined the ranks of the CPSU .
He continued his career in the Voronezh region in the Paninsky district . He worked as the main livestock specialist in the pilot farm of the State Enterprise Toida. Since 1963 he took the post of Secretary of the Party Organization of the Communist Party of the State Enterprise "Toyda". Soon he became an inspector-party organizer of the CPSU party committee of the Paninsky territorial production collective-state farm administration. From 1963 to 1964, he was an instructor in the party organs department of the Voronezh Rural Regional Committee of the CPSU. In 1964-1965 - Deputy Secretary of the CPSU Party Committee of the Paninsky Territorial Production Collective Farm and State Farm Administration.
Party and state activities
From 1965 to 1970 - the second secretary of the Paninsky district committee of the CPSU. In 1967 he graduated from the correspondence postgraduate course at the Voronezh Agricultural Institute . PhD in Economics.
In 1970, he was elected first secretary of the Paninsky district committee of the CPSU. In 1978, he was transferred to Moscow as an instructor in the agricultural department of the CPSU Central Committee. From 1979 to 1984 - Secretary of the Bryansk Regional Committee of the CPSU , then from 1984 to 1985 - second secretary of the Bryansk Regional Committee of the CPSU. From 1985 to 1986 - inspector of the CPSU Central Committee, from 1986 to 1987 - deputy head of the department of organizational and party work of the CPSU Central Committee.
From January 1987 to June 1990, he was the first secretary of the Voronezh Regional Committee of the CPSU; simultaneously, from March to November 1990, he was chairman of the Voronezh Regional Council of People’s Deputies [2] .
Member of the Central Audit Commission of the CPSU (1986-1990) [3] . People's Deputy of the USSR (1989-1991).
