“ Aitakatta ” ( 会 い た か っ た Aitakatta , “I wanted to meet you”) is the third (the first on a major label) single of the Japanese idol group AKB48 , released in Japan on October 25, 2006. In this single, for the first time, a system was applied in which the title track was performed not by all the band members, but by the so-called sambatsu (sample), i.e. selected members. On this single, 20 people entered the samba .
