Story
The film takes place three years after the return of John Morgan, nicknamed the Horse in England . The Sioux tribe in which he lived is attacked by Indians who collaborate with white merchants. They kill most of the Sioux, others are enslaved to the merchants, and the elderly and children are driven out of the sacred lands into the wastelands. At this time in England, John Morgan, the 8th Earl of Kildare, decides to return to America and leaves his estate.
Seeing the ravaged parking of the Sioux, Morgan stumbles upon a trading post. With the help of one of the local people, he finds out about the wasteland. The first he meets his old friend Losihu, who announces his arrival. He is joyfully received, he gives out gifts, but the shaman is against Morgan, and his gifts are sacrificed to the evil spirit. The moose cow explains to John that the spirits of the tribe and the hunt left them. Morgan replies that if gifts are returned tomorrow, then they will succeed. She only says that he behaves like a white man, and not like a Sioux, and that you need to wait for a sign from an evil spirit. Finding no gifts the next day, Morgan decides that they were stolen by a shaman. He asks the members of the tribe to find them, but they turn away from him. He tells Losikha that he wants to regain the power of the great spirit that has been found among them, which he lost when he returned to England. Without her, he is morally weak. She says that he must forget himself. For the sake of this, Morgan passes the rite of purification and again performs the rite of initiation . Together with him pass the youth of the tribe. During the ritual, rain and thunder broke out, which was taken as a sign of goodwill. The next day they go hunting bison , during which they are attacked by the Indians, but they repel the attack and take the prisoner. To recapture their lands, they turn for help to another Sioux tribe, but they refuse their support. Morgan releases the captive with a message of peace. But they agree only to war ...
Siu captures part of the weapon and plans to storm the trading post. Due to the small number of people, Morgan decides to prepare even women and children for battle. Using the stolen gunpowder, they break through the defenses of the post, penetrate inside and blow up the main tower with the head of the post, Zenas, thus winning. During the battle, the old leader dies. His place is taken by a son.
The epilogue says that John Morgan remained in the tribe, having lived in it until his death in 1854 , becoming one of the legends of the Sioux people ...

Criticism
The film received mixed ratings from critics. Roger Ebert was not particularly critical of the film, but noticed that the film is trying to give himself too serious and suffers from excessive attention to detail. As Ebert wrote, the film shows chauvinism among white people, but this seems to be a manifestation of severity in relation to itself. The timing of the film lasts two hours, although the pace is trying to be like an epic. The film is based on four ideas: return, reconciliation, revenge and rebirth. But this doesn’t seem enough for a two-hour movie, and believe me, even with all this significant music trying to seem like a monumental and important film. [2]
Ebert also criticized the repetition of the first film . Ebert wrote: “What irritated me in the film was the initiation rite, which was repeated in this film in darker and bloody details, as if the audience had missed once. In the first film, Morgan was cut with pectoral muscles with a knife, the claws of an eagle were thrust into it and hung on the ropes for them until his consciousness was sufficiently purified. You might think that people like this ceremony are just a trick, only without a salvo of rockets. ” [2]
