Leslie (pronounced Leslie, full name Leslie Bourgoin, born February 4, 1985 in Le Mans ) is a French singer in the style of R'n'B [1] [2] [3] .

Biography
Her mother is French, and her father is partly Vietnamese and partly Wallisian . Leslie was born in Le Mans in France, but raised in Africa. From 6 to 9 years old she lived in Gabon , and from 12 to 15 in Togo . Upon returning to France, she begins to sing in the choir. She also writes songs with her older brother, composer and arranger named Little D. The older brother eventually knocked her out to sign up for the Graines de star talent show in 2001.
Musical career
Leslie was opened to the world thanks to the talent show "Graines de star" on M6 [4] .
The biggest hits of the singer are “Le bon choix”, “Je suis et je resterai” and “Et j'attends” [5] , as well as “Pardonner” and “Sobri” [6] , which were released all in 2002-2004. Her first two albums, “Je suis et je resterai” (2002) and “Mes couleurs” (2004) were sold in an amount of more than 100 thousand copies each [6] .
At that time she was a favorite of teenagers [4] . Fans called her the princess of the French R'n'B [5] [7] . In 2005, Leslie performed a recital at Olimpia [4] .
However, her third album, L'Amour en vol (2006), was received coolly [5] . The fourth album "A la recherche du bonheur" (2010) reached only 34 places in France [6] .
In the fifth album, released in 2013, she moved away from R'n'B and preferred pop [7] . She said in an interview that she was no longer the teenager whom the public knew she had grown up, and the texts also became more mature. She now presents her music in a different way, and she recorded this album primarily for concerts, because she has not performed much before and now wants to go on tour [8] .
