End of time

The end of time is in the eschatology of religions, the period of time preceding the end of the world .

In Judaism, the End of Times is associated with the Messianic era and includes the coming of the Messiah (Mashiach), death, and the resurrection from the dead . In Christianity, this time is depicted as a time of tribulation preceding the second coming of Jesus Christ , who will confront the Antichrist and establish the Kingdom of God on earth. In Islam, Judgment Day ( kiyamat ) is preceded by the appearance of Mahdi , who, with the help of the prophet Isa (Jesus), will defeat Dajjal (Antichrist).

The last day in Abrahamic religions is characterized by death, atonement, and rebirth.

Islam

In Islamic eschatology, the other world ( achirat ) is the only eternal and important life for man. Akhirat begins with the Small (death) or the Great End of the World, includes the Day of Judgment ( kiyamat ), paradise ( jannat ) and hell ( jahannam ). The Great End of the World is called the period of time that lasts from the first to the second sound of the trumpet (sura) of the angel Israfil [1] .

Ahirat is opposed to earthly life ( dunya ). The concept of opposing earthly life to ahirah was one of the main ideas in the sermons of the prophet Muhammad, who tried to convince his compatriots that there was a world in which they would have to give an answer for everything done. In Muslim theology, the development of the concept of ahirat was carried out in the direction of opposing eternal peace (the gift of al-bak) and earthly life (the gift of al-fan), as well as detailing the ideas about ahirat ( heaven , hell , resurrection , Judgment Day , etc.) [2] .
