Ashotyan, Armen Gevorgovich

Armen Gevorgovich Ashotyan ( Armenian Արմեն Գևորգի Աշոտյան , July 25, 1975 , Yerevan ) is also a well-known, former Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.

Biography

  • 1992 - 1998 - studied at the Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi with a degree in medical business.
  • 1998 - 2000 - clinical residency of the same university with a degree in forensic medicine.
  • 2000 - 2003 - defended his thesis and received the degree of candidate of medical sciences.
  • 2005 - graduated from the Moscow School of Political Studies .
  • 2007 - Graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) with a degree in Global Process Management.
  • 1999 - 2000 - Senior Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Forensic Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University.
  • 2002 - 2006 - Assistant to the Rector of Yerevan State Medical University.
  • 2005 - 2006 - Advisor to the Rector of the same university on a voluntary basis.
  • 2003 - Assistant, Department of Biochemistry, Yerevan State Medical University.
  • 2006 - Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Yerevan State Medical University.
  • 2005 - 2007 - Member of the Parliament of Armenia of the third convocation. Member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Health and the Environment. Member of the Republican Party of Armenia .
  • On May 12, 2007 he was elected as a deputy of the parliament of the fourth convocation. Member of the Standing Committee on European Integration.
  • Since September 2008 - Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports.
  • On May 13, 2009 he was appointed Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
  • On June 16, 2012 he was reassigned to the post of Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
  • On May 8, 2013 he was reassigned to the post of Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
  • On April 26, 2014 he was reassigned to the post of Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
  • 2004 - the year he released his first collection of poems "VOICE".
  • 2007 - the first collection of copyright songs "FOR ...".

Since 1996 he participated in the sports “What? Where? When? ”: Was the captain of the Erebuni team. Since 2005 - sponsor of the RPA-DAF team, champion of Armenia 2005-2009, champion of the South Caucasus in 2005.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia dated December 28, 2012 he was awarded the Movses Khorenatsi medal . Candidate of Medical Sciences, reserve officer of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

In 1999-2003 he was the chairman of the youth parliament of YSMU, in 2003-2005 - the chairman of the RPA youth organization.

In October 2010, Armen Ashotyan was awarded the honorary order of the Russian-Armenian (Slavic) University “for effective political activity, for innovative activities in the field of education, for a creative and innovative approach to solving the problems facing science and education, as well as for continued support RAU ".

Armen Ashotyan is the author of two dozen scientific papers and articles.
