Volleyball competitions among women's teams at the XXVII Summer Universiade in Kazan were held from July 8 to 15, 2013 with the participation of 15 teams.

At the preliminary stage, teams are divided into 4 groups. According to the results of group stage matches, two teams from each group continued to fight for medals in the playoff system. National teams that took 3-4 places in groups became participants in the comforting matches for 9-15 places.

The team of Algeria [1] refused to perform. 42 matches of the tournament were visited by 38802 spectators. The winner of the competition was the Russian team, and Natalia Obmochaeva was recognized as the most valuable player [2] .
