She made her debut in the national team at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games . She finished sixth in the 800m swim and won the gold medal in the 4 x 200 freestyle relay . On April 13, 2015, Kylie Palmer was notified that the doping test taken on July 31, 2013 contained traces of the prohibited drug furosemide , she was temporarily suspended from the competition and was unable to participate in the 2015 World Cup in Kazan . For the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , the suspension period expired, and she was going to take part in these competitions [3] [4] , but received a hand injury [5] .
