Career
The pupil of the youth sports school "Metallurg" ( Zaporozhye ). He began his career in the team of masters of the 2nd group of class “A” “Metallurg” (Zaporozhye) in 1964 . In 1966 he moved to another team of the 2nd group of class “A”, SKA (Kiev) . In 1968, he played for the class “B” team “Trubnik” from Nikopol . The following year, he joined the team of the 2nd group of class “A” “Shipbuilder” (Nikolaev) . In 1970 he returned to Zaporozhye Metallurg.
In 1971 he became a player in the team of the major league Spartak (Moscow) . The first match for the main team of the red and white was held on March 17, 1971, scoring his first goal on the same day as part of Spartak. In 1971, he won the USSR Cup , receiving the title of master of sports . In total, he played 40 matches for Spartak, including 25 in the USSR Championship , 13 in the USSR Cup and two in the UEFA Cup . Eight times he was replaced, 21 times came on as a replacement.
