Geography
Located 8 km north-west of the Irkutsk - Kachug R418 motorway, 13 km west of the district center of the Ust-Ordynsky settlement on the left bank of the Bulusa river, the right tributary of the Kuda .
Toponymy
Perhaps the toponym Bulusa comes from the Buryat Bulakh - bury , bury . This name may be associated with any rite [2] .
Some associate the name of the river and the village with the name of the fish boulos [3] .
Perhaps the name comes from the Yakut term Bulus - cellar , glacier , permafrost lens [4] .

According to the 2010 All-Russian Census, there were 394 people, including 199 men and 195 women [6] . The population is predominantly Buryat . According to the results of the 2002 census , in the national structure of the village population, Buryats accounted for 86% [7] . The main occupation is traditional animal husbandry.
Incidents
In the local media the village was wide mentioned because of an incident with a burned-out school [8] .
Education
In the village there was only one school - the secondary school named. Bertagaeva. There were no pre-school educational institutions. However, since May 2013, after the old wooden school burned down, construction began on a 2-storey brick building, which will house both a school and a kindergarten [8] .
Famous natives
- In the former Moluevsky Ulus, located at the beginning of the 20th century in the vicinity of the future village of Bulusa, in 1903, Hero of the Soviet Union I.V. Baldynov was born.
- Bertagaev, Trofim Alekseevich (1905 - 1976) - Soviet linguist, Mongolian, specialist in morphology, syntax and lexicology of Mongolian languages, doctor of philology, professor, honored scientist of the Republic of Kalmykia, head of the Mongolian languages group of the Institute of Language Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences [9] .
