Biography

Born March 30, 1917 in the city of Ivanovo-Voznesensk (now - Ivanovo ) in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1942 . He graduated from 7 classes and the school of FZU. He worked at the Ivanovo spinning mill named after S.I. Balashov. He graduated from the Ivanovo flying club, flight school.

In the Red Army since 1938 . He served in the regiment of high-speed SB bombers near the city of Kalinin (now Tver ). In 1943 he graduated from the Balashov Military Aviation School of Pilots ( Saratov Region ), where he perfectly mastered the IL-2 attack plane. He was assigned to a reserve aviation regiment and, before being sent to the front, he drove new attack aircraft from aircraft factories to front-line airfields.

On the fronts of World War II from June 1944 .

The squadron commander of the 593rd assault air regiment (332th assault air division, 4th air army, 2nd Belorussian front) captain A.V. Khukhrin made 90 sorties by March 1945 (52 of them as the leading group) on attack of enemy troops. The squadron of Captain Khukhrin destroyed 19 enemy aircraft in the sky and more than 50 - on the ground, 150 tanks, 50 artillery and 80 anti-aircraft mounts, dozens of convoys and trains with military equipment and enemy manpower.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 18, 1945, for the successful command of the air squadron, courage and heroism shown in battles with the Nazi invaders, Captain Khukhrin Alexei Vasilyevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 7967) )

A participant in the legendary Victory Parade on June 24, 1945 on Red Square in Moscow.

In 1945, having retired, the brave attack pilot worked as an instructor at the Ivanovo flying club.

In 1947, he voluntarily returned to the cadres of the Armed Forces of the USSR. He headed the training of parachutists in an air force in Monino near Moscow, and then, from the beginning of the 60s to the mid-70s, in the Transcaucasian Military District. During this period, the master of sports of the USSR, the honored trainer of the Georgian SSR A.V. Khukhrin, trained 20 world record holders and the Soviet Union in parachuting.

Since 1976, Colonel Khukhrin A.V. - in stock, and then retired. He lived in the hero city of Moscow. He died on January 23, 2007 . He was buried at the Lianozovsky cemetery.
