Geography
The village is located on the banks of the river Vetluga .
History
According to the lists of populated places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 2nd camp of the Vetluzhsky district of the Kostroma province . It consisted of 20 yards , lived 75 men and 74 women. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 192 people lived in the village (70 men and 122 women). [3]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Glushkovsky Volost of the Vetluzhsky District of the Kostroma Province. According to the volost administration for 1907, there were 44 peasant yards and 260 inhabitants. The main occupation of the inhabitants of the village was forestry. [3]
