Akbakay (Zhambyl region)

Akbakai ( Kaz. Aқbakay ) is a village [1] (formerly a village) in the Moyynkum district of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center and the only settlement of Akbakaysky village administration. Located about 96 km north of the district center, aul Moyynkum . The KATO code is 315632100 [2] .

In 1999, the population of the village was 1163 people (602 men and 561 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 1,473 people lived in the village (804 men and 669 women) [3] .
