Geography
The village is located on the highway Uren - Sharya - Nikolsk - Kotlas P157 , on the banks of the Zavod river [2] (or Antipikha [3] ).
History
On the General Land Surveying Plan of 1792 of Vetluzh County, the village was designated as Misharikha. [four]
According to the Lists of Populated Places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village of Mescherikha (Kungur) belonged to the 2nd camp of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province and was located on the postal route from Vetluga to the city of Nikolsk . There were 15 yards in it , 41 men and 55 women lived. There was a post station in the village. [3]
According to the 1897 census , 233 people lived in the village (114 men and 119 women). [2]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Pechenka volost of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 33 peasant households and 226 inhabitants in the village. In the village there was a post station and a forge. The predominant occupation of the villagers, except for agriculture, was cattle fishing. [2]
In 1916, there were 43 courtyards in the village, in which 261 residents (116 men and 145 women) lived. [five]
In 1925, 300 people lived in the village. [6]
Until 2010, it was part of the Katuninsky rural settlement. [7] [8]
