Gran Miquelon ( Big Miquelon , French Grande Miquelon ) - the middle and largest of the three parts of the island of Miquelon Langlad in the archipelago of Saint Pierre and Miquelon .

Linking Gran Miquelon to Langlad, a 12 - kilometer spit called La Dune ( Dune ) was formed at the end of the 18th century.
Grand Miquelon Square - 110 km² of 205 km² Miquelon-Langlade. Miquelon is deserted, the settlement is located only in the north , on Le Cap.
There are many small reservoirs in Gran Miquelon, most of them can change their shape and location, but because of the humid climate they never dry up. Ponds are connected by a large number of streams . The main type of vegetation is swampy meadows and sphagnum bogs with peat bogs , similar to tundra vegetation.
The highest point is 240 m , it is also the highest in the entire archipelago . In the south of Gran Miquelon is the relatively large lagoon of Gran Barashua . There are smaller lagoons in the northern part of the island.
