The Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia ( Latin: Archidioecesis Sanctae Fidei de Antioquia ) is the diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Santa Fe de Antioquia , Colombia . The Metropolitanate of Santa Fe de Antioquia includes the dioceses of Apartado , Istmina Tado , Quibdo , Santa Rosa de Ososa . The Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

History
On August 31, 1804, the Holy See established the Diocese of Antioquia, separating it from the dioceses of Cartagena (today - the Archdiocese of Cartagena ), Popayana (today - the Archdiocese of Popayan ) and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in New Granada (today - the Archdiocese of Bogotá ). On the same day, the Diocese of Antioquia entered the Metropolitanate of Santa Fe in New Granada.
On February 14, 1868, the Holy See abolished the Diocese of Antioquia, and transferred its territory to the new diocese of Medellin (today - the Archdiocese of Medellin ). On January 29, 1873, Pope Pius IX issued the bull Super oecumenica , which restored the Diocese of Antioquia, isolating it from the Diocese of Medellin.
On February 24, 1902, the Diocese of Antioquia entered the Metropolitanate of Medellin.
On April 28, 1908, the Diocese of Antioquia transferred part of its territory to the new Apostolic Prefecture of Choco (abolished in 1952).
On February 5, 1917, Pope Benedict XV issued the bull Quod catholicae , which transferred part of the territory of Antioquia to the new diocese of Santa Rosa de Hososa and combined the diocese of Antioquia with the diocese of Herico . After this unification, a new diocese of Anitokii-Heriko was created.
On July 3, 1941, Pope Pius XII issued the bull Universi dominici gregis , which divided the Diocese of Antioquia Herico into the Diocese of Antioquia and the Diocese of Heriko.
On November 14, 1952, the Diocese of Antioquia transferred part of its territory for the formation of the new Apostolic Vicariate of Quibdo (today - Diocese of Quibdo).
On June 18, 1988, the Diocese of Antioquia transferred part of its territory for the construction of the new Diocese of Apartado. On the same day, the Diocese of Antioquia was transformed into the Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia.
