The São Bento Monastery ( port. Mosteiro de São Bento ) is located in Largo de São Bento, in the center of São Paulo , in Brazil . This is one of the most important historical places in the city.

He is part of the same group as the Basílica Abacial de Nossa Senhora da Assunção , Colégio de São Bento and Faculdade de São Bento . The monks live in the monastery, perform daily services, where they are always ready to receive the prayers, the afflicted and those who are in spiritual search, as well as the monks are ready to confess them.
The monastery belongs to Don Abbot Matthias Tolentin Braga, who in May 2007 sheltered Pope Benedict XVI when he first visited Brazil .
