Zambia national rugby team ( eng. Zambia national rugby union team ) represents Zambia in top-level international rugby-15 matches. The team debuted on the international arena in 1975 and now plays annually in the African Cup . The national team did not play in the final part of the world championships . The First World Forum was held with the participation of only invited teams, among which Zambia did not make it. The next two championships the national team missed, as it did not participate in qualifying tournaments. Since the 1999 Cup, Zambia has consistently been trying to reach the final. The best at the moment came in the qualifying campaign for the championship in 2007 : Zambians won in the group, but in the butt match for the right to continue the struggle lost to Senegal .

The governing body coordinating the team is the Zambian Rugby Union. One of the most famous rulers of Zambia, who made a career in rugby, is the ex-captain of “ Wallabis ” George Gregan , who was born in Lusaka . The same city became native to the future captain of the Springbox Korne Krige . Now the team takes 75 place in the world IRB rating [1] .
