Karakat

Karakat ( Kazakh. Karagat , until 1993 - October-Charva [1] ) - an aul in the Ryskulovsky district of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan . It is part of the Kulan rural district. It is located about 3 km southeast of the district center, the village of Kulan . The KATO code is 315030200 [2] .

In 1999, the population of the aul was 779 people (396 men and 383 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 161 people lived in the aul (78 men and 83 women) [3] .
