Kakpatas

Kakpatas ( Kazakh. Қақpatas , until 1993 - Risorob [1] ) - an aul in the Kordai district of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of Kakpatassky rural district. The KATO code is 314838100 [2] .

History

In 1989, the archaeological expedition of KazGU ( led by M.E. Eleuov ) discovered and explored the ancient settlement of Kakpatas , dating from the 10-12th centuries.

Population

In 1999, the population of the aul was 1290 people (628 men and 662 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 1,485 people lived in the aul (742 men and 743 women) [3] .
