History
In 1989, the archaeological expedition of KazGU ( led by M.E. Eleuov ) discovered and explored the ancient settlement of Kakpatas , dating from the 10-12th centuries.
Population
In 1999, the population of the aul was 1290 people (628 men and 662 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 1,485 people lived in the aul (742 men and 743 women) [3] .
