Hemicardiacus (lat.) Is a genus of winged insects from the humpback family ( Smiliinae , Membracidae ). Neotropics ( Central America ). Pronotum high leaf-shaped, almost completely covers the front wings, humeral angles enlarged, long, with their base close to the lateral edges of the eyes. Host plants: Fagaceae ( Quercus ) [1] .

Systematics
The genus is included in the subfamily Smiliinae as incertae sedis . Previously included in either the Telamonini tribe or the Smiliini [1] [2] .
