Polyglyptini (lat.) Is a tribe of equal-winged insects from the humpback family ( Membracidae ). Neotropics and the Nearctic [2] [3] .

Content
Description
Pronotum partially covers the front wings, often with longitudinal grooves; some births with protrusions-horns on the shoulders. Fore wings with vein M separated or fused basally with vein Cu (exceptions: Hemiptycha , Mendicea , and some representatives of the genus Phormophora , in which M is basally fused with vein R, but then they diverge to the middle of the wing). Hind wing without transverse vein rm; veins R 4 + 5 and M 1 + 2 are close at the apex, but diverge in the distal part (exceptions: Aphetea , Incolea , and some representatives of the genera Mendicea and Phormophora , in which R 4 + 5 and M 1 + 2 are close, but do not diverge distally). The tibia of the posterior pair of legs without longitudinal rows of hood-shaped sets (cucullate setae) [2] [3] .
