Almalinsky district ( kaz. Almaly Audany ) is an administrative-territorial unit in the central part of the city of Almaty . The Stalin district was formed on September 14, 1936 by the decision of the Alma-Ata city council of people's deputies of the city of Almaty. March 10, 1957 Stalin district was renamed the Soviet [4] . On December 12, 1995, the Sovetsky District was renamed to the Almalinsky District [5] . Almalinsky district is located in the heart of the city. This area for many years was the administrative center and the center of social and cultural life of Almaty.

As of today, 449 industrial enterprises and 624 trade enterprises function in the Almalinsky district.
The district has 20 universities, 19 SUZs, 29 schools, 21 state and 8 private kindergartens, 29 health institutions, 5 museums, 8 libraries, 2 cinemas and 5 theaters [6] .
